The solidarity rally in Berlin was organized by Democrats Abroad
Bonn, Jan 21 (deutschenews24.de/dpa)- Hundreds are staging a demonstration for women`s rights in front of the US embassy in Berlin, on the same day that a major political march in Washington is expected to deliver a similar message to Donald Trump on the first full day of his presidency.
The solidarity rally in Berlin was organized by Democrats Abroad, the official branch of the Democratic Party for US citizens living abroad, German police said.
Demonstrators were heard shouting "No justice, no peace" and placards read "Trump is not a Berliner."
Demonstrations are also planned in London, Paris, Tel Aviv and other cities worldwide in protest against the misogyny, violence, racism, homophobia and religious intolerance that protesters say characterized Trump`s election campaign.
